Find My Car app for iPhone and iPad
FindMyCar is a iphone application that uses the location services to help you find your car.
Simply save your car position. You can now close FindMycar.
To find your car, open the application and click the "Find My Car" button
to open the google maps and give you directions to get to your car.
There are several levels of accuracy:
- POOR (Accuracy > 300 meters)
- FAIR (Accuracy < 300 meters)
- MODERATE (Accuracy < 200 meters)
- GOOD (Accuracy < 100 meters)
- EXCELLENT (Accuracy < 50 meters with GPS)
- IDEAL (Accuracy < 40 meters with GPS)
To be able to save or find your car position you need to have at least the GOOD level.
IMPORTANT:
FindMyCar works better with iphone 3G because GPS is more accurate than GSM localisation.

Used at coachella festival and I found my car. Very accurate! Note that the lot is HUGE and leaving at 1:30 am I was tired and would have struggled to Find My Car amungst the night.

I used this app twice while in Phoenix for a emergency a few weeks ago. This app works like a charm. The parking lot is spread all over the huge hospital grounds. Walked out the wrong exit two times and this little app took me right to my car. This is a great little imvestment. I give it 5 stars.

I was excited to try this app bc I often lose my car in the airport. It was worthless.
A great idea for an iPhone application, but the implementation makes it basically useless. Ive tried using it three times when the reception was rated as Excellent, and its failed badly all three times. If you forgot which city or town you parked in, great. But the accuracy doesnt seem much better than 100 or 200 yards, and as you walk with the device it doesnt tell you whether youre getting closer or farther away. For the most likely uses, in the parking lot of a big mall or a sports stadium, it just wouldnt do you any good.
By the the time I park my car, I have to wait another 4.2 minutes for the app to get up and running. The GPS says excellent but its not running! the below poor ratings are accurate.
Ive had this for a few monthas and it never works. Ive used it in NYC and it can never find location. Dont know what Im doing wrong but it looks like Im not the only one. Wish ther was some way you could get refunds.
I have this app for almost a year. Testerday I set for a parking 50 feet away. The location told me I was 21 miles aways. Im removing from my Iphone. Useless.
